Shawn is a 500-hr RYT, E-RYT 200, and Continuing Education Provider through Yoga Alliance, with over 20 years of experience in the fitness and movement space.
She completed both her 200-hr and 300-hr training through Aligned Flow under Christy Linson and has been teaching yoga at Prana since 2017. She now serves on the Aligned Flow faculty, mentoring and guiding future teachers.
With a background in dance, gymnastics, kickboxing, and CrossFit, Shawn brings a dynamic and well-rounded approach to her teaching. She began practicing yoga in 2007, and what started as a complement to training evolved into a practice that extends beyond the mat, grounded in the ethics and philosophy of yoga.
She is passionate about creating thoughtful, intentional sequences that both challenge and support her students.
Her teaching encourages students to embody confidence and authority in their own experience—to take up space, trust themselves, and trust that where they are is exactly where they’re meant to be.

What is a challenge in your own yoga practice?
Consistency. Being a yoga teacher helps me show up for myself.
What is something you’ve learned about yourself from teaching yoga?
I appreciate teachers who understand we don’t all fit into the same mold, that different bodies will move in different ways. I’ve learned that I have a voice, an intuition, and I need to trust it when I hear it communicating to me. Yoga is a means to quiet the distractions in order to hear clearly.
What about teaching lights you up the most?
Witnessing students coming into themselves, trusting their bodies, and stepping into their movement practice with confidence and self authority!
