Becky Lucas, MSN, CYT 200
Master’s of Science in Nursing, Certified Yoga Teacher
After receiving her certification by the American Council on Exercise Becky began her career in the fitness industry. After some transformational events she evaluated her intentions and direction and began to seek a path incorporating mindfulness with physical movement. After a few yoga classes Becky knew she found her spiritual path and immersed herself in the philosophy and asana yoga practice. She then received her 200-hour yoga certification and has established an unwavering commitment to her own practice and to her teaching through the years.
In 2025, Becky traveled to Bali on what became a deeply transformative journey that reshaped both her personal path and her approach to teaching and healing. While there, she studied under Guru Made, and earned her Reiki I and Reiki II certifications. Immersed in the island’s spiritual culture, Becky cultivated a deeper connection to energy work, mindfulness, and intentional living.
Since returning, she has continued to expand her meditation practice, integrating stillness and awareness into her daily life. She is now actively seeking opportunities to offer Reiki, with a focus on supporting others in restoring balance, reducing stress, and reconnecting with their own inner healing capacity.
Yoga has brought peace and balance to her life and helps her remain calm and grounded in her role as a Chief Nursing Officer. Becky’s nursing background combined with her yoga practice allows her to bring a holistic perspective into every space she holds—whether with patients or students. In her vinyasa classes, she thoughtfully weaves in elements of yoga philosophy, encouraging students to move beyond the physical practice and explore breath, presence, and self-inquiry. Her teaching style invites students to experience yoga as a full mind body practice that supports not just strength and flexibility, but also clarity, grounding, and overall well-being.
Testimonials
“So happy to be back in Becky’s class after a few snowy weekends. Becky brings a lot of energy into the room . Always walk out refreshed and ready for the day.”
“Becky’s class is one of the best classes. She creates a full sensory experience with fluent sequences, invigorating playlists and a welcoming atmosphere. Her classes are always full and they feel as if we are all creating a mastermind of love. It will be great to have more classes like that.”
“Another great class with Becky! You can tell how well she plans out the sequences, starts us out slow then kicks our butts but it feels good! She is also very intentional to ground us in the beginning of class knowing we all come from different places and gathers us to let go and move our energy together.”

What is a challenge in your own yoga practice?
My only challenge is that I don’t have as much time as I’d like to dedicate to practice and meditation while working full time. There are endless amounts of information to learn and share about yoga. The more time I have to practice, meditate, and research the better teacher I can be.
What is something you’ve learned about yourself from teaching yoga?
For years I taught challenging fitness classes. I had pushed myself too hard sometimes ignoring signs of pain or injury. A shift in self-discovery occurred after teaching yoga. I learned that for me it wasn’t about impressing anyone with advanced poses or pushing myself into a practice that physically wasn’t right for me but creating a safe practice that can still be challenging. I want my students to also feel challenged, safe, and present.
I also learned how much I love teaching! My classes are my favorite part of my week, and I always say that to my students.
What about teaching lights you up the most?
I had someone tell me that she has built strength and perseverance through my classes which helped get through a difficult time in her life. I’ve had students tell me that something I said resonated deeply, shifted their perspective, or supported them in a way they did expect. Those moments stay with me. Each time I’m able to impact someone, even in a small way, it fills me with genuine joy and gratitude. I am continually inspired by my students’ dedication and growth. There is something incredibly special about watching someone show up consistently and witnessing their journey unfold.
